Carbon Fiber Fins (Blades) MANTRA key features:

1) 100% IM7 carbon fibre.
2) The material used is 100 % Carbon Prepreg produced with hot melt impregnation system, using a micro-toughened tetra-functional epoxy resin.
3) 3D-Tech: Proprietary Technology, of CETMA COMPOSITES exclusive know-how, with high pressure, high temperature and high degree of applied vacuum, which lead to a component with 0% void level, without defects, with a uniform matrix/reinforcement ratio across the whole blade.
4) FEM Design: MANTRA blades are optimized trough an accurate Design by means of Finite Element Softwares (FEM). The Design trough FEM software allows an optimized distribution of the stiffness, with the aim to obtain a deformation ensuring the maximum hydrodynamic efficiency.
5) Signature model: developed in collaboration with the world champion CWT bi fins Michele Giurgola.
6) DRS (Dynamic Resonance System) innovative and exclusive CETMA COMPOSITES system. DRS implies that MANTRA blades were designed to reach in resonance in a definite frequency of kick. Resonance phenomenon is well note physical phenomenon characterizing all the structures. Simplifying, when a structure is forced with a frequency close to its natural frequency the amplitude of vibration increase in a very efficiency way (low damping). Operating by distribution of the stiffness along the blade we “tuned” the blades to certain natural frequencies. So when the blade is driven, by kicking, with a certain frequencies range the user feeling is a very low effort with an outrageous thrust. This study is done using a laser vibrometer (LDV) to perform a modal analysis, which helps in a stiffness distribution design of the blade.

Il sistema Dynamic Resonance System è una nuova filosofia di progettazione delle pale in carbonio. Secondo questa innovativa filosofia di progettazione, la pala è progettata per andare in risonanza nel range caratteristico delle frequenze di pinneggiata del nuotatore. In tal modo si sfrutta un principio comune a tutte le strutture: secondo tale principio è possibile sollecitare una struttura con uno sforzo minimo alla frequenza caratteristica di risonanza della struttura stessa (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7Pjak3fBA4). Buon giorno, per la pesca subacquea sono sempre propenso a consigliare più rigido che più morbido. Questo perché si tratta di una famiglia di pale comunque morbide, è piacevole a mio avviso avere un po' di grinta in più nello stacco dal fondo ed eventualmente nella trazione di un pesce , ecc.. Quindi direi una MANTRA medium, sono sicuro che si troverà bene. Tenga conto che parliamo comunque di una famiglia di pinne soft che sfruttano il principio DRS limitando moltissimo il carico muscolare. Quindi scelga a cuor leggero. Saluti Andrea

Hi, the Freediver is our official reseller in Dubai, and yes he should not sell at a lower price than our website. Our fins have a progressive higher stiffness going from foot to tip of the blade, so we don't suggest to roll. Traveling option we suggest is to disassemble the footpockets by screws, in fact we can supply both screwed or glued footpockets. I think in general, for all fins brand, to avoid rolling during transportation because this make the fins more sensible to damage in case of pressure on the luggage or dropping of the luggage.... Buongiorno, certamente saremo presenti all'EUDI e ci sarà anche la possibilità di acquistare i nostri prodotti. Per quanto riguarda la pala mi orienterei su una Mantra XS oppure su una Mantra cwt competition, pala quest'ultima più specifica per l'apnea. Per quanto riguarda le scarpette le consiglio di abbinare le nostre pale alle nostre scarpette con le quali hanno la massima resa. Inoltre produciamo le taglie più piccole sul mercato partendo dalla 35, In particolare la taglia 37-38 che le consiglierei veste in maniera molto più proporzionata della scarpetta che vorrebbe prendere lei. Inoltre la nostra scarpetta s-wing è una scarpetta progettata per le pinne in carbonio a differenza di tutte le scarpette con i longheroni laterali che derivano dalle pale in plastica e peggiorano le caratteristiche delle pale in carbonio. on 2018-07-18 Salve, uso da anni le Alemanni XS per pesca maggiormente all'aspetto trai -25 e i -30 metri e per andare sul cavo in apnea in costante con discese a massimo -50 metri. Dalle vostre tabelle vedo che per il mio peso 73kg e altezza 1,74 consigliate la Mantra M. Ho provato la Competition XS e domani proverò la Mantra S di un amico, non ho però la possibilità di provare la M. Quanta differenza c'è tra una S e una M? Visto che ho gambe piuttosto muscolose, amo la sensazione di morbidezza delle pinne Alemanni XS che uso da anni, per l'uso che ne faccio (pesca specialmente) consigliereste comunque sempre la M? Dear customer, I try to explain the differences in few words. Edge ia a reactive blade, strongly reccommended to spearfisher that want to feel the blade during the detach from the bottom. Prana is a shorter blade, very suitable for spearfishers, very easy to be used but with interesting performance. Mantra is a blade designed to minimised the energy required during swimming and in all the conditions, and can be described as a soft blade. The fins are shipped glued and ready to use.

on 2018-09-06 Buongiorno, essendo interessato all acquisto delle pale mantra vorrei chiedervi se per un pescatore in apnea che pesca di norma sempre oltre i 25 m (anche in inverno quindi con un po'di zavorra in più rispetto il periodo estivo) sono piu adatte il modello mantra M oppure le Edge M. on 2018-09-09 Buonasera, volendo acquistare delle pale da voi, vorrei sapere se per un pescatore in apnea che opera dai 25 m in giù anche nei mesi freddi e quindi con una buona dose di zavorra le pale Edge o mantra sono più indicate...preciso che sono alto 1.95 e peso 93 kg e ho una pinneggiata ampia quindi mi sono sempre trovato bene con pale morbide. Di conseguenza alle mie caratteristiche le mantra mi intetrssano molto mo non vorrei fossero troppo morbide e non efficaci al momento dello stacco dal fondo...preciso che ho provato le edge ma le ho sentite un po troppo rigide per la mia falcata. Salve, a nostro avviso la pala Mantra in durezza medium è la pala adatta a lei. Del resto, anche se attualmente la sua tecnica è in fase di miglioramento, dovendo utilizzare le pale per l'apnea, deve necessariamente optare per un prodotto tecnico, ciò renderà più facile anche il miglioramento dal punto di vista tecnico, più che una pala dura.

on 2019-02-22 Buonasera, Vorrei acquistare la mia prima pala in carbonio, ho sempre usato pale in polimero perchè raramente le mie quote superano i 15 metri di profondità. Sono alto 1.82 e al momento peso poco più di 80 kg quindi per le mantra dovrei prendere le M. Tuttavia ho qualche dubbio sulla reale utilità di queste pale per le mie quote operative, anche se generalmente percorro anche un paio di km a pinne quando esco a pesca. Faccio pesca in apnea dagli 0 ai 25 mt di profondità , spesso mi muovo in barca ma capita di partire anche da terra , quindi di pinneggiare abbastanza prima di arrivare sugli spot di pesca . My personal opinion and feeling is to choose always stiffer option so MANTRA medium....taking into account that difference among medium and soft stiffness is about 20%...

The "MANTRA blades in fiber carbon selector" table on this page lists Soft stiffness as suitable for freediving for 85+ kg, yet the YouTube video lists the max weight for Mantra Soft to be 70 kg. Which one is correct? Also, how the suit thickness vs. weight is accounted for? My weight is 86 kg and my height is 185 cm. I was planning to use the Mantras only for freediving with my current depth being 50 meters. But because I mostly train in colder water I wear 5mm suit with 6.3 kg weights, so at depth, when the suit is compressed I have to kick harder then if I was wearing a 2mm suit with less weight. Ho iniziato a pescare da poco e le mie quote attuali di pesca non superano i 20 metri, la stragrande maggioranza delle pescate sono intorno ai 15m. Non ho mai avuto pinne in carbonio, ma solo in tecnopolimero, (Seac Motus (S) e Omer Stingray evo). Sto frequentando un corso di apnea con l'unico obiettivo di migliorare le mie quote di pesca, L'obiettivo è di arrivare in sicurezza a 30-35m. Vivo in Martinica, quindi in cintura tutto l'anno ho al massimo 4 kg, parto la maggior parte delle volte dalla spiaggia, per pescate generalmente di 3/4ore. Ho avuto il piacere di parlare con un vostro collaboratore questa mattina che mi ha consigliato la Soft, ho scordato però di specificare che in alcune zone qui è presente una corrente piuttosto sostenuta e che non è inusuale catturare, anche per un pescatore alle prime armi come me, dei pelagici dai 5 ai 10 kg che scodano parecchio. Mi chiedevo quindi se il consiglio rimane comunque sulle Soft o se non fosse più adatta una Medium. Mi dispiace disturbarvi una seconda volta, ma non vorrei per nessuna ragione sbagliare acquisto. Buongiorno, le CWT competition sono progettate per le lunghe risalite in tuffi in assetto costante. Queste pinne a differenza delle mantra standard sono delle pinne con un feeling ancora più morbido, non sono assolutamente adatte alla pesca, perche soffrono un eccessiva zavorra e potrebbero in certe circostanze risultare troppo morbide, per esempio nelle fasi di stacco dal fondo con preda fucile e zavorra... Le mantra standard invece sono delle pinne all round possono quindi essere utilizzate in qualsiasi circostanza sia pesca che apnea, inoltre sono più inclinate rispetto alle cwt. Entambi i modelli sono molto efficai e producono spinte notevoli ma con assetti e scopi diversi.

Dear Stefano, About stiffness I should say medium because for safety and teaching maybe you could need some extra power to carry weights...also difference among soft and medium is minimal and normally 80 kg person use to choose medium ;-) About footpocket you should get the s-wing cetmacomposites footpockets because compared to the others it has several advantages: it's more performing because has some nerver in proper position, it's lighter because density is near to 1g/cc similar to that of the water so it has almost no weight in the water, it' thermoformable by heating so you can adapt to all foot shape. Also the shape of fin tai is designed to lay your foot almost entirely on the carbon...so to adapt other footpocket you have to cut the blade... S-wing line has 45-46 size available. Footpocket are screwed on the blade but the holes don't match other brand holes. Best Regards

Per risparmiare soldi le consigliamo inoltre di comprare 1 pinna completa con scarpette avvitate e l'altra solo pale. In questo modo potrebbe usare le stesse scarpette su entrambi i modelli.

Hello, Edge and Mantra are different products, that provide different performance and feeling. Edge blades are reactive blades, strongly recommended to spearfishers that want to feel the blade during the detach from the bottom. Mantra blades are more technical blades, with a soft feeling, studied to maximise the propulsion minimizing the effort. Just as example, MANTRA MEDIUM is softer than EDGE SOFT, but behaviour is different. Mantra is very useful if you have to cover distances by swimming, Mantra blade is designed to minimize the energy required during swimming , in all conditions, and can be described as a soft blade. on 2023-05-31 Hey, I am very interested in the Mantra fins for my step forward in Freediving and would like to use the fins not only for deep diving, but also freediving for fun in lakes and the sea. I weigh ~97kg at 1.92m. My footsize is 46/47, but I will waer socks. From all the answers below, I assume it‘s medium stiffness at 47/48 size, standard version (not competition)? Hello, Mantra medium is suitable for both freediving and spearfishing, according to your measure for specific use in spearfishing you could choose a Hard ,but for either activities and also fun in freediving Mantra medium is perfect. Kindest regards
