Freediving Carbon Fins (Blades) EDGE, key features:

1) 100% IM7 carbon fibre.
2) The material used is 100 % Carbon Prepreg produced with hot melt impregnation system, using a micro-toughened tetra-functional epoxy resin.
3) 3D-Tech: Proprietary Technology, of CETMA COMPOSITES exclusive know-how, with high pressure, high temperature and high degree of applied vacuum, which lead to a component with 0% void level, without defects, with a uniform matrix/reinforcement ratio across the whole blade.
4) FEM Design: EDGE blades are optimized trough an accurate Design by means of Finite Element Softwares (FEM). The Design trough FEM software allows an optimized distribution of the stiffness, with the aim to obtain a deformation able to ensure the maximum hydrodynamic efficiency.
5) Dimensions: Width 195 mm; Length from the bending angle 742 mm; bending angle 27 degrees.
6) Available stiffness: soft (S), medium (M), hard (H).
7) Colour choice: Green Posidonia and Magenta.
8) Footpocket fitting: CETMA COMPOSITES, Mares and Pathos.
9) water rail: CETMA COMPOSITES Water rails with variable height and high efficiency.
10) warranty: 2 years on carbon parts; 5 years if fitted with CETMA COMPOSITES footpocket ( Find out more ).
11) Prizes and awards: WORLD CHAMPIONS 2015 - CMAS World Record of Michele Giurgola, in 2015 in the cold water of Ischia, bi-fins constant weight -93 meters.

Answer:

Answer:

Hi, I've been Reading the description of your top Fins, Mantra and edge, and the notion i get is that the edge is good blade with top carbon composite, but the mantra with its DRS is much superior with better propulsion with less effort. is this right? Does the Edge also have DRS or what? Answer:
Hi, Edge and mantra are different products, that provide different performance and feeling. Edge blade are reactive blades, suggested when the customer wants to feel the blades. Mantra blades are more technical blades, with a soft feeling, studied to maximise the propulsion minimizing the effort. Best regards

Answer:
Saluti

Is the only difference between Mantra and Edge models, the angle between the foot pocket and the blade? If yes, what would the best option be for general spearfishing (mainly around rocky headlands and not very deep water)? Answer:
Differences between EDGE and MANTRA are not only the iclination angle, but stiffness distribution along the blade follow different approach. In fact EDGE in quite classical very reactive blade, Instead MANTRA is very soft perception because (dynamic resonance system) which make blade apparentely soft but with great propulsion capacity. Just as example MANTRA MEDIUM is softer than EDGE SOFT, but behaviour is different. Another option if you spearfish in not very deep water could be PRANA (I personally suggest soft up to 90 kg). Veri angled fins like mantra and prana are very useful if you have to cover distances by swimming this is veri effective and confortable feature for your ankles during surface swimming. Hope this help ;-)
